Guide to Marvel Rivals

Intro to Game

Marvel Rivals is a free-to-play hero shooter created by NetEase Games in collaboration with Marvel Games. It launched on December 6, 2024, for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. Players have the opportunity to play as 33 iconic Marvel characters at launch and beyond, with additional characters planned for future updates.

Who made it?

This game, developed by NetEase Games in China, features team-based gameplay where players can assemble a diverse team of superheroes and supervillains. Players will battle using unique superpowers on various destructible maps inspired by the Marvel Multiverse.

What's the lore?

The merciless clash between tyrannical dictator Doctor Doom and his future counterpart from the year 2099 has forced countless universes to collide in the Timestream Entanglement, creating new worlds and crises unknown. Now, Super Heroes and Villains from across the multiverse must fight together and against one another as disparate groups each seek to best both Dooms before one achieves domination of these realities. Familiar faces become newfound foes while former enemies become the greatest of allies in Marvel Rivals.[1]

Marvel Rival Classes

Tanks(Vanguards):

These heroes are great at surviving battles and controlling the game's pace. They don't do much damage but they make up for it with sustain.

DPS(Duelists):

Now we're moving on to the heroes that deal serious damage. These characters are quick and deadly but fragile. They require strategic play to avoid being overwhelmed.

Support(Strategist):

Often underestimated, supports keep teammates alive and can turn the tide of battle with their utility.
